St. Paul, MN – Dinner Date Series #1
We love Japanese food and are always on the hunt for good sushi wherever we go. Last Friday night we ended up at Sakura Sushi Bar & Restaurant in Downtown Saint Paul near the Excel Energy Center.
Sushi Roll:
#33 A salmon & cucumber roll topped with hamachi & avocado
Kaylaʻs Order:
Salmon Teriyaki with Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Combo- Great portion of both the salmon steak and pieces of tempura. I love when restuarants serve kabocha (pumpkin) tempura.
Austinʻs Order:
Kama Hamachi- A large hamachi collar that was seasoned and broiled perfectly. Each bite melted in our mouths.
It was a peaceful night, not crowded at all, as we talked about our new lives here in Minnesota and enjoyed a couple servings of tempura ice cream, one vanilla and one green tea. Can you guess who ordered the vanilla?
Weʻre excited to experience a new city together, a new state and region of the country as well.
